Gymnastics Season

This gymnastics season is one to see. From top to bottom, PBL is talented. We have 20 girls out this year; four from Belmont, seven from Lancaster, and nine from Platteville.

As many of you already know, last year PBL went to state. This year, we hope to do the same. “With 20 gymnasts out for the team, we have gained depth over last year,” states Coach Hill. “The skills level of all the gymnasts means the lineup has the potential to continually change.” We have gained some great incoming freshmen this year that will impact the team.

This season consists of 12 guaranteed meets, four at Platteville High School. PBL’s next meet is Jan. 13th at Southwestern. “Bars and vault are the two events where we will see increased difficulty. This will better position our team in higher level competitions,” says Hill.

The team has goals to win conference, sectionals, and go to state. “I am looking forward to this season,” said Hill. “When I walk in the gym, I can see the team focus on working hard to improve.”

PBL hopes to see you at the three home meets in Platteville on January 27th and February 10th and 15th.
